# Quickstart

> Add the bot, open the dashboard, and configure the basics.

This guide takes you from nothing to a working setup. It should take a few minutes.

## 1. Add the bot

  <Step title="Add to Discord">
    Click **Add to Discord** and pick the server you want to manage.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Confirm permissions">
    Approve the requested permissions. The bot is now active on your server.

<Note>
  You need the **Administrator** permission on a server to add the bot and open its dashboard.
</Note>

## 2. Open the dashboard

    Open [technified.xyz/dashboard](https://technified.xyz/dashboard).

  <Step title="Log in with Discord">
    Sign in with the same Discord account that has access to your server.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Select your server">
    Pick the server from the list to load its overview.
  </Step>

## 3. Configure the basics

Once you are in, set up these three things first.

    Open **Roblox > Bindings** and connect your Roblox group by its ID. This unlocks rank based role bindings and group verification. See [Bindings](/dashboard/roblox/bindings).

    Open **Settings > General** and choose a verified role and an optional unverified role. Members receive the verified role once they link their Roblox account. See [General Settings](/dashboard/settings/general).

    Open **Settings > Permissions** and decide who can use which slash commands. Keep moderation commands limited to your staff roles. See [Permissions](/dashboard/settings/permissions).

## 4. Connect a Roblox game (optional)

If you run Roblox games, connect them so moderation and staff activity sync both ways.
