Troubleshooting Common Issues

Quick solutions to the most common problems you’ll encounter with Technified.

Verification Issues

If you are using the Bio code verification methode Cause: Your Roblox account privacy settings may be blocking verificationSolutions:
  1. Go to Roblox Settings → Privacy
  2. Set “Who can see my inventory?” to “Everyone”
  3. Set “Who can message me?” to “Everyone” or “Friends”
  4. Try /verify again after changing settings
Check:
  • Are role bindings configured in Dashboard?
  • Are you in the required Roblox groups?
  • Is your rank within the binding range?
Solutions:
  1. Use /sync to manually trigger role assignment
  2. Check Server SettingsRole Bindings for configurations (if you are a servr Administrator)
  3. Ask admin to use /force_sync @you
Solution:
  1. Use /reverify to remove current verification
  2. Use /verify and link the correct account

Role Binding Issues

Causes:
  • Roblox rank hasn’t actually changed
  • Sync hasn’t run yet (can take 15-30 minutes)
Solutions:
  1. Use /sync to manually update
  2. Wait 15-30 minutes for automatic sync
  3. Verify your rank actually changed in Roblox
Causes:
  • Overlapping bindings with different priorities
  • Multiple bindings match
  • Binding configuration error
Solutions: (if you are a servr Administrator)
  1. Review all bindings in Dashboard
  2. Check for overlapping rank ranges
  3. Verify min/max ranks are correct
  4. Use /lookup @user to see which bindings apply
Cause: Permissions issueSolutions:
  1. Ensure Technified has “Manage Roles” permission
  2. Move Technified’s role above all roles it needs to manage in Server Settings → Roles
  3. Check role hierarchy in Discord

Command Issues

Causes:
  • Discord command cache not updated
  • Bot was recently added
  • Permissions issue
Solutions:
  1. Restart Discord completely
  2. Wait 5-10 minutes after adding bot
  3. Try typing / and scrolling to find Technified commands
  4. Check bot has necessary permissions
Cause: Command is restrictedSolutions:
  1. Check Server SettingsPermissions for command restrictions
  2. Ask admin to adjust command permissions
  3. Verify you have the required roles
Cause: Anti-spam cooldownSolution: Wait for the cooldown to expire (usually 30-60 seconds)
Causes:
  • Technified API issues
  • Discord API issues
  • Bot was kicked
Solutions:
  1. Verify bot is still in the server
  2. Check Discord Status
  3. Re-invite bot if it was removed

Dashboard & Settings Issues

Causes:
  • Not logged in
  • Don’t have server permissions
  • Session expired
Solutions:
  1. Login with Discord at technified.xyz
  2. Verify you have “Administrator” permission
  3. Clear browser cookies and login again
Causes:
  • Bot not in server
  • You don’t have permissions
  • Cache issue
Solutions:
  1. Add bot to server first
  2. Verify you have “Administrator” permission
  3. Logout and login again
  4. Wait a few minutes for sync
Causes:
  • Browser issue
  • Network error
  • Permission error
  • API issue
Solutions:
  1. Check browser console for errors (F12)
  2. Try a different browser
  3. Disable browser extensions
  4. Check internet connection
Cause: May have reached a limit or configuration conflictSolutions:
  1. Check if you’ve reached any limits
  2. Remove unused bindings
  3. Consolidate similar bindings

Group Binds Issues

Causes:
  • Key expired
  • Wrong permissions
  • Key was revoked
Solutions:
  1. Generate new API key in Roblox Creator Hub
  2. Ensure it has “Group:Read and Write” permissions
  3. Update key in Dashboard
  4. Check key isn’t expired
Causes:
  • API key doesn’t have access to that group
  • Not owner/admin of group
Solutions:
  1. Verify you own or admin the group
  2. Check API key permissions in Roblox
Causes:
  • API key lacks write permissions
  • User not in group
  • Priority conflict
Solutions:
  1. Check API key has “Write” permission
  2. Verify user is in the Roblox group
  3. Review binding priorities

Staff Tracking Issues

Causes:
  • Tracker not installed in game
  • User isn’t configured as staff
  • API key issue
  • HTTP requests disabled
Solutions:
  1. Verify Technified Tracker is installed in game
  2. Check user matches staff criteria in Staff Management
  3. Ensure API key is valid
  4. Enable HTTP Requests in Game Settings → Security
Causes:
  • Module asset ID incorrect
  • Roblox module servers down
  • Script error
Solutions:
  1. Verify module asset ID: 72126668297116
  2. Check Studio output for error messages
  3. Enable Debug = true in config
  4. Ensure HTTP requests are enabled
Causes:
  • Heartbeat not working
  • Network issues
  • Game crashing
Solutions:
  1. Check HeartbeatInterval in config
  2. Verify game isn’t freezing/crashing
  3. Check API rate limits

Permission Errors

Solution:
  1. Go to Server Settings → Roles
  2. Drag Technified’s role above all roles it needs to manage
  3. Ensure “Manage Roles” permission is enabled
Solution:
  1. Give Technified “Manage Nicknames” permission
  2. Move Technified’s role above target users’ roles
  3. Some users may have nickname protection
Solution:
  1. Check channel permissions
  2. Give bot “Send Messages” permission
  3. Ensure bot isn’t timed out

Performance Issues

Causes:
  • Roblox API slow
  • High server load
  • Many bindings to check
Normal: Verification takes 1-3 minutesIf longer:
Solutions:
  1. Clear browser cache
  2. Try incognito mode
  3. Disable browser extensions
  4. Check internet connection
